FOR ONE VIBRAPHONE, FOUR PLAYERS
For Georgie James is a dirge for a lost friend. It is comprised almost entirely of bowed vibraphone, combining short and delicate bowing to mimic the sound of a glass armonica with long and steady bowing to create penetrating beams of sound, eventually arriving to a cloud-like texture of clusters. I like to think of it as processional music for a heavenly arrival.
